It hard to believe just how much has happened over the past months, so much has been done, the product has gone through several iterations and testing and the first of the commercial units is being produced in China, the guys at JKL Industries China have done a great job, making so many improvements to the product and always being focused on getting the quality right.
The product is now ready for launch and I am pleased to say there are two first class resellers who are the first to launch, the TTG group www.ttg-uk.com and Wavegate www.wavegate.co.uk
Working with these two great organisations is fun, both can see the opportunity of the Cypherseal mailer and as many will tell me when it comes to sales and time to market, first is best.
The TTG group launch at Franks Hall in Kent (what a place Franks Hall is, such an amazing venue, see their web site for details) will take place towards the end of July and Wavegate will launch middle of August.
Everyone from the guys in the factory in China, the resellers and of course all at Cypherseal are working to make sure the launch activities go well and to be followed up with orders and sales, not to mention another reseller coming on board (more news on who that will be in a month or so time).

Although the past months have been hard work and with plenty of challenges, its now getting very exciting as the product moves from development to commercial release and launch, who knows, a company near you may soon be using a Cypherseal secure print mailer, saving themselves money and benifiting from the fact that the printed document is secure and tamper evident (unlike today's other sealing methods).

Customer demand growing month by month
Working is moving ahead at quite a pace in China for the first of the pre-production products. Over the coming 10 days there will be a review at the factory covering everything from the schedule and product updates to make sure everything is OK for the pre production units.
The prototype is still doing its stuff here in the UK and being used to demo to more dealers and distributors, the list of those wanting to sell the product as part of their portfolio grows by the month.
Most businesses recognize that their post is not secure and Cypherseal offers a solution that means for the first time there is a product that business can buy to achieve a tamper evident sealed mail for the post. The Cypherseal product also provides a business real cost reduction as it eliminates people from stuffing envelopes or handling the printed sheet.

UK market size set to more than double for Cypherseal great new product
The UK market is expected to show significant growth related to the increasing demand to make mail more secure. The current UK market estimate for Cypherseals great new product is estimated to be between 25,000 and 50,000 units. This is forecast to more than double over the next 18mths.

Making ready for pre production and product launch
Having now been able to demo the prototype to a range of customers (with more lined up over the coming weeks) and having concluded the discussions with the factory in China, we are ready to move to the next phase of the project, pre production.
Pre production will be in two parts. The 1st part of pre-production will deliver 4 units which will be fully representative of the final product and user requirements and will be used for further customer trials as well as extended testing.
The 2nd part of the pre production plan is to produce a bigger quantity of units which will be finished to final production standard and have the CE mark, ready for customers. The completion of pre production achieves the product launch in October this year.
There is allot of detail planning work now taking place both here in the UK and in China and preparations are ongoing for market launch in a few months time. You can now see Cypherseal on Facebook!!

Prototype product doing its stuff
At the end of last week our 2nd prototype unit arrived from the factory in China. Within an hour it was out of the wooden crate and up and running, doing its stuff. The guys in China have done a great job and it such a fast time, fantastic to see.
This is the 2nd prototype, the first prototype was a unit to demonstrate the basics of the new technology, this 2nd prototype is nearing production ready standard. I have attached a picture showing the Cypherseal PP1000 unit integrated with a Brother HL6050DN laser printer.
The next step is to have the prototype demonstrated to a range of potential UK customers (Value add distributors / dealers). In a start up its so important to have a working demo to show, gives everyone confidence and better understanding, not to mention the fun of demonstrating a world first technology.
In parallel, I am talking with the factory in China to lock down the details and costings for the next phase of the project, this is moving out of prototype and into pre production with our plan to have first production ready product ready for UK market launch in October of this year.
