At the end of last week our 2nd prototype unit arrived from the factory in China. Within an hour it was out of the wooden crate and up and running, doing its stuff. The guys in China have done a great job and it such a fast time, fantastic to see.
This is the 2nd prototype, the first prototype was a unit to demonstrate the basics of the new technology, this 2nd prototype is nearing production ready standard. I have attached a picture showing the Cypherseal PP1000 unit integrated with a Brother HL6050DN laser printer.
The next step is to have the prototype demonstrated to a range of potential UK customers (Value add distributors / dealers). In a start up its so important to have a working demo to show, gives everyone confidence and better understanding, not to mention the fun of demonstrating a world first technology.
In parallel, I am talking with the factory in China to lock down the details and costings for the next phase of the project, this is moving out of prototype and into pre production with our plan to have first production ready product ready for UK market launch in October of this year.
